Michael Magoulias began his publishing life as a sub-editor on British Vogue and Tatler. His subsequent career has been devoted to the sustaining rigors of academic and professional publishing, including Gale Research, Chadwyck-Healey, and Encyclopaedia Britannica. He spent 14 years at Elsevier, most recently serving as Publishing Director for "The Lancet" portfolio. Since April 2012, he has served as Director of the Journals Division of the University of Chicago Press, where he oversees a portfolio of over 50 journals. He is a graduate of Merton College, Oxford, where he read Modern History.
