Connecticut-Trinity-Wesleyan / CTW Consortium
CTW Librarian for Collaborative Projects
In 2008, I started coordinating consortial activities among the libraries at Connecticut College, Trinity College and Wesleyan University. My primary focus has been on collection development, and over time, I’ve vacillated from being an advocate of practices that favor ebooks to taking a more cautionary stance. The benefits seem increasingly outweighed by issues such as discovery, usability, shareability, and accessibility. For this reason, I sought an active role in the EAST Shared Print project. I’m a member of the Monographic Working Group, and serve on both the Collection Analysis and Policy sub-groups.
My pre-library career was in retail management; before coming to CTW, I was the statewide Electronic Resource Coordinator at the Connecticut State Library, an Instructional Librarian and E-Resource Coordinator at Trinity College Library, and the Upper School Library Director for a private K-12 school in NJ.
